Given I spent nearly all of my career in SOF, I didn’t truly gain an appreciation for logistics, transportation, and air mobility units until I attended the Command and General Staff College. It was then and there that Dr. DTG had some knowledge dropped on him – big time! It’s these types of enabling units that drastically-extend our operational reach, and ensure strategic-to-tactical continuity of operations. Featured here is a @usairforce Refueling Squadron based out of Kadena Air Base, Japan. The KC-135 Stratotanker pilot at right, Capt. Joffre Alvarez, is rockin’ a pretty rad @casiowatches_official @gshock_casio_official. In fact, it’s so rad, I hadn’t ran across this variant yet. I dig it! I may ask the Command Element if I can pick one up! The action shot features a @usnavy P-8A Poseidon approaching the KC-135 Stratotanker for aerial refueling somewhere over the Pacific Ocean earlier this month. The VP-26 is forward deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet, which operates with allies and partners the Indo-Pacific remains a safe space. The KC-135 Stratotanker is assigned to the 909th ARS and it provides air refueling to joint U.S., joint and allied aircraft throughout the Pacific region.
