Omega currently offers two watches exclusively for members of select military and law enforcement units as part of its Unit Watch Program. • Unit Seamaster Professional • Unit Speedmaster Pilot (Flight-Qualified) Through the lens of a watch enthusiasts, an unforeseen possibility is now very real: Both watches can be pitted against one-another on the same battlefield or broadly across the domains of war. That means these tools can realistically be used against each other, exactly as intended, on the wrists of opposing military forces. This thought experiment suddenly takes on a far more uncomfortable tone these days as tensions grow among NATO members. For example, given the current climate, Greenland could realistically become the stage where U.S. and Danish collectors… I mean forces, meet. Hopefully the illustration provided here never comes to fruition. It shows two NATO Members as enemies: U.S. military pilots wearing the Unit Speedmaster Pilot (Flight-Qualified) Unit executing missions against Danish Frogman Corps divers in the North Atlantic wearing the Unit Seamaster Professional. The current strategic environment signals this scenario is suddenly within the realm of possible.
