I’m confident @benswatches would’ve gladly asked this high-speed @usairforce Combat Controller (CCT) “what’s on your wrist” in a quick one-on-one interview, but this image was captured during the Northern Strike 26-2 live fire exercise (i.e., real bombs and bullets) last week in Camp Grayling, Michigan. So, in the interest of safety, no street interviews were conducted during the photography. Illustrated here is U.S. Air Force CCT [REDACTED] rockin’ the notorious @tudorwatch Pelagos LHD (Ref. M25610TNL-0001) while calling-in close air support (CAS) alongside an Army Green Beret Captain (deliberately tucked behind the watch overlay). Generally speaking, CAS is military terminology for air attacks (think jets, helicopters, or armed drones) requested by ground forces against observable (usually close) enemy targets. Dependable communications and precise geolocation orienteering are absolutely essential for CAS to avoid friendly fire and collateral damage. The Pelagos LHD is a favorite among military and law enforcement due to its 9 o’clock crown position which is optimal for right-handed folks because it eliminates crown digging, mitigates snagging, and improves functionality in weapons handling. There’s a famous Pelagos LHD unit watch called the “HAWKEYE” that is made exclusively for the U.S. Secret Service Counter Assault Team (CAT). The CAT is its premier tactical element charged with supporting the President and Vice President’s security details. In the event of a kinetic attack on a protectee, the CAT (callsign “HAWKEYE” wink wink) deploys to divert, suppress, and neutralize the threat(s). One of Dr. DTG’s close buddies earned his “HAWKEYE” serving on the CAT, and my February 17, 2026, post provides a no-hype comparison of his “HAWKEYE” with my FXD M.N.24 (another popular Pelagos variant across the military and law enforcement communities). Y’all check it out if you haven’t already! Much love to my Air Force compadre on loan to 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) for sending in this rad pic of him getting it done in last week’s live fire training exercise. Right on, brother! #presentandready SEND IT! ~ PRESENT & READY
