The multiple high-end tool watches worn by the current Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) is thoroughly documented, but we should throw a little love to digital tool watches. After all, more often than not, it’s digital tool watches that go out on missions. Pictured here is the previous CJCS, General C.Q. Brown, rockin’ what appears to be a @garmin Fenix 6! General Charles Q. “CQ” Brown Jr. is now retired, concluding his over 40-year military career after being dismissed from the Chairman position in February 2025. He is a historic military figure, having been the first Black officer to lead a branch of the U.S. Armed Forces as the Chief of Staff of the Air Force. General Brown’s combat time came in the cockpit of an F-16. Right on! Some years back, I was issued both a Garmin Fenix variant (I think) and a @suunto Core (which I still have today). Y’all let Dr. DTG know if you have any good recommendations for a band replacement on the Core. I’m still in search of the right one for me!
