I recently ran across a copy of General Bryan Fenton’s official portrait on display at U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Headquarters. I couldn’t help but notice the @rolex Submariner Date permanently painted on his left wrist. Immediately, I had two thoughts: 1) this has to be the same Rollie featured in my 12 APR 2026 post; and 2) this Rollie must be near-and-dear to his heart. Dr. DTG was right-and-right. I know this because I did what any middle-aged tool watch-obsessed AmeriCAN would do… I got in touch with General Bryan Fenton and asked him! Not only did General Fenton confirm it is the same Rollie from the 12 APR 2026 post, he took it two steps further by explaining its significance and providing us a pic of the actual watch! He originally bought the watch for his dad back in 1988 when he was stationed overseas. Dad Fenton wore it until he purchased a Cerachrom bezel Sub Date. He then passed this Rollie to his son, General Fenton. So, this Ref. 16610 has been in the Fenton family for 38 years (and counting), and now it’s immortalized in a portrait of the 13th USSOCOM Commander! Too cool! 😎 Thanks for sharing the emotional significance behind the watch with us, Sir! It’s never just a watch - it’s a part of your story. You’re the absolute man!
