Happy 250th birthday to the U.S. Marine Corps! And for its birthday, one of its fellow @marines sent it! He was in the USMC from 1988 to 1992, and deployed to Operation Desert Storm. After coming off active duty in 1992 he joined the U.S. Marshals Service that same year where he served until his retirement in 2021. During his career with the Marshals Service he was also a member of its Special Operations Group. This Marine turned Marshal has become quite the woodworker in his retirement, and this skill has paired well with his propensity to enjoy a good cigar. To appropriately commemorate this 250th birthday he carved the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor into this heirloom humidor! The picture resting on the lid is him at The Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, also known as 29 Palms. It is the largest USMC base in the world, located in the Mojave Desert, California. As far as the watch goes, he bought this automatic USMC Marathon watch when he retired from the Marshals Service.
