I think y’all know me well enough by now to know I typically don’t post about me, but every now and then there’s a rad story to share in Dr. DTG’s sphere of awesomeness. Here we go! A close friend of mine from the unit was recently promoted to Colonel (the big eagle), and he graciously asked me to MC his promotion ceremony at the National Museum of the United States Army. It was truly an honor to fulfill this role as best I could for him and his family, and particularly special to me because COL [REDACTED] is someone I deeply respect on and off the court. In fact, our friendship dates back nearly two decades at this point. For some reason we kept getting assigned to the same task forces and units! Wild how that happens! I want to highlight the venue and event support at the National Museum of the United States Army is top shelf! Also, this is a pretty cool vignette… the event coordinator (that kept us all in-line and out of trouble) noticed me and COL [REDACTED] discussing our @omega Unit SMPs. She mentioned her husband (who’s also a fellow Soldier) is quite the tool watch fan himself. I kindly asked her to tell him about SEND ME the DTG thinking he’d dig it. Turns out he’s already following and has been a loyal DTG’er for quite some time! Right on, brother! I love it when the world gets small like that. Reminds me, yet again, that the First SOF Truth still holds true: HUMANS > HARDWARE! I also love it when competent and genuine leaders are promoted to positions of increased responsibility. That never gets old in Dr. DTG’s book. Congrats again to COL [REDACTED]! You earned it, brother… and (perhaps most importantly) you earned it the right way! #sinepari SEND IT! ~ PRESENT & READY #army #watch #omega #museum
