Had to rock an OG for an OG down here in Richmond, Virginia commemorating the 4th/250th - the @seikowatchofficial SKX007J on an American Made @nickmankeydesigns Pro Hook Strap. 468 days before the adoption of the Declaration of Independence and his two terms as Virginia Governor, Patrick Henry delivered his famous “Give Me Liberty Or Give Me Death” speech right here at Saint John’s Episcopal Church. This infamous speech, that helped set the conditions for U.S. independence just over a year later, was given during the Second Virginia Convention on 23 MAR 1775. The first Convention was an act of defiance of British taxation overreach, and the second convention served as the platform for Henry to urge its leadership publicly, stating “what means this martial array, if its purpose be not to force us to submission? Can gentlemen assign any other possible motive for it?” It would be at the Third Virginia Convention that a military structure was raised, and by the Fifth Virginia Convention (in Williamsburg, Virginia) delegates unanimously voted to attend the Continental Congress in Philadelphia “to declare the United Colonies free and independent states absolved from all allegiance to or dependence upon the crown or parliament of Great Britain.” In his speech, Henry said, “I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience. I know of no way of judging of the future but by the past.” Dr. DTG believes these are words worth reflecting upon today. Ask yourself… what do you want to be right now? Then figure out how to make it happen. Be PRESENT. Be READY. GO GET IT… SEND IT! #sinepari SEND IT! ~ PRESENT & READY PS: Want to give a special shoutout to the men and women of Richmond Fire Station 1 (seen at the end of the video). They responded to three called in the short time Dr. DTG was on-site performing recon. Was great chatting with y’all!
